Isle of Man 2021

Traditional Buildings Weekend, Isle of Man
POSTPONED

This event, originally scheduled for the end of April, has been postponed. It is hoped that the event will take place 22-24 April 2021, so reserve this slot in your diaries. Our thanks go to Ashley Pettit for setting up the event, sponsored by Culture Vannin, and managing all the arrangements for the change of date. We apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding.

The three-day CPD event, when rescheduled, is likely to take the following form:

Day 1: Afternoon/evening lecture programme to examine the challenges facing traditional buildings and the options available to adapt them for a harsher climate.

Day 2: Talks and demonstrations on clay mortars.

Day 3: Guided walk to look at abandoned buildings in the landscape and consider possible conservation.

More information will be posted as the plans are developed.
