Evening

Drinks reception followed by fish & chips at Spanish City, Whitley Bay

Saturday 5th September

The whole day will be spent at Jarrow Hall Museum and Anglo-Saxon Village, where delegates can take part in a range of hands-on activities, demonstrations and local visits, including:

 

  • Clay brick and tile making
  • Wattle & daub
  • Lath making
  • Lime washing
  • Sgraffito
  • Stone masonry & letter cutting
  • Lime plastering
  • Lime slaking & mixing
  • Ash mortars
  • Guided tour of Jarrow Hall museum
  • Tour of archaeological excavations
  • Visit to St Paul’s Monastery & St Paul’s Church

Activities are being finalised and are subject to change.

Evening

Drinks reception, Baker Memorial Lecture and relaxed three-course dinner in Northumbria University Student Union, followed by fund-raising auction in aid of the BLF Bursary Fund.

Sunday 6th September

Members session: presentations from members and updates from overseas lime forums, followed by lunch before departure.
