Check in is from 14:00 until 17:00 on the day or arrival. Outside these hours, please go to the security lodge (the turquoise square north of block W on the map), where staff are on duty 24 hours. When you check in, you will receive your parking permit for the Ffriddoedd car park.

Afternoon activities

Bring warm, waterproof clothing and sensible shoes for the visits and activities in case of poor weather and a hat and suncream for when the sun shines. If you are attending one of the practical workshops, please wear trainers or boots and bring your own PPE (gloves, goggles, dust mask) if you can.

Auction and raffle

On Saturday evening, we will be holding our annual auction to raise money for the bursary fund. We are also running a prize raffle. We hope that this will make our fund-raising more accessible and will give everyone the chance to be a winner.

We have some great lime-related lots and prizes, but the more we have the more money we will raise for the bursary fund. This is the main way we generate income for the bursary fund which allows us to support early-careers people or those on a low income to attend the annual gathering.

If you would like to donate items or gifts in kind for the auction or raffle, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing conference@buildinglimesforum.org.uk or by bringing your donations to the registration desk as soon as possible once the gathering starts. Donations could include items (such as books, prints, wine and spirits, tools, plaster casts or stone carvings) or in-kind donations (such as training courses or time spent with an expert on site, at a place of interest or in a workshop or laboratory) – let your imagination run wild! All donations will be gratefully received. Thank you.
