NEW BUILD SEMINAR

BLF Designers' and Specifiers' Seminar

Heriot-Watt University, Riccarton, by Edinburgh

This one-day seminar demystifies the uses of lime and lime-based products for conservation and new build and provides access to clear information to enable knowledgeable use and specification of these materials. The seminar is aimed at clients, developers and professionals (architects, engineers, surveyors) and follows the same format as the successful events held in Greenwich in September 2007 and Dublin in March 2008.

  • specifications: sands, pozzolans, mortars, renders;
  • testing of lime mortars;
  • Use of lime mortars and renders in severe weather conditions;
  • working examples of theory into practice;
  • design guidance and where to find it;
  • case studies.
